Located on Mauritius' western coastline, Flic en Flac is a beach lovers paradise, a golden sweep of sand stretching around the resorts' magnificent bay which is surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. The sea here is famous for myriads of coloured fish and other sea life and so Flic en Flac has become popular with snorkellers who find the blue waters especially rewarding.
Mauritius has a tropical climate, with moderately high temperatures and humidity all year around. Temperatures never rise to such high levels that they become unbearable. The wettest period is from Jan-Mar (198-221mm per month); during these months cyclones may pass nearby giving occasional heavy rain/wind. May-Nov are much drier. There is between 7 and 9 sunshine hours per day throughout the year. The south and southeast coast are slightly windier than the rest of the Island.
